Iron Horse pt. II

2010.06.11

Finally another update on my Iron Horse photo essay! I have been working on this project for the past year now and I can honestly say it has been a rough road.  Dealing with the California State Prison system has been a fairly tricky.  Although this project has taken sometime I am starting to see a light at the end of the tunnel.  I am hoping to gain access to a few more prison so for now enjoy the photos below. I would also like to say THANKS to everyone who has helped me with this project. The PIO, inmates and my lovely reporter!!!   I look forward to shooting more on this project so stay tuned for more images.  To see images from my first shoot click here.

The images below are a loose edit of today’s shoot, so I would truly be grateful for any comments or constructive criticism.

Showdown in Searchlight: Tea Party Express…

2010.03.28

This past weekend Luceo Photographer and good friend Daryl Peveto and I headed out to Searchlight NV to cover the first day of The Tea Party Express. It feels good to be back in California after a crazy weekend with the teabaggers, but I wish Daryl Peveto all the best as he travels with them on their national bus tour across the US. To see more images as he makes his journey documenting the Tea Party Express, you can follow his blog by clicking here.

501st…

2010.02.15

Here are a few images from an assignment I had this past weekend. I can truly say it was a refreshing break from the daily grind at the paper! It was fun marching with Boba Fett and couple of Storm Troopers all over this crazy landscape while nearly 30 kids trailed along.
